After earning All-District and All-State honors during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons at Independence High School, HUDSON ROSS accepted a scholarship to continue his career at Coahoma Community College.

The IHS Wildcats’ two-time; team MVP had an immediate impact on the Coahoma program providing the Tigers will some big-time pop in the clean-up spot. Ross finished his freshman season at Coahoma with a .327 batting average while driving in 25 runs, hitting 8 doubles and two homeruns. His freshman performance earned the catcher Team MVP honors and an All-State selection by the MACJC.

During his sophomore season, Ross upped the ante hitting .389 on the season, with a .457 on base percentage, and a .527 slugging percentage. In 151 plate appearances, the sophomore catcher struck out just 14 times. Ross drove in 26 runs hitting 15 doubles and racking up 17 walks — 8 of those intentional.

Behind the plate, the strong-armed catcher allowed just 53 total stolen bases, ranking fourth in the country by the NJCAA.

His sophomore season performance earned Ross another Team MVP selection, and his second All-MACJC first team All-State selection — the only recorded player at CCC to ever earn this honor.

Ross was rewarded with a full scholarship to continue his career at Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, AR where he is beginning his junior season.

Hudson is married to his wife, Courtney, and as is the proud father of three young boys; Bryson 4, and infant twin sons Mason and Maddox
