The 2009 COAHOMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM was one of the greatest football teams to represent Coahoma since joining the MACJC in 1975. The team finished the regular season with a record of 6-3, and in second place in the North Division. This earned Coahoma Community College its first ever playoff appearance in the school's history. The 2009 team produced 32 players that either signed Division I or Division II scholarships. The team also included a record number of 1st and 2nd team All-State selections and All-Stars. Because of the success of the 2009 team, it led to the coaching staff being selected "Coaching Staff of the Year" another first for the college. It also led to the 2010 team receiving the college's first ever preseason Top 25 national ranking. Offensively, the tigers finished 2nd in the Division and 6th in total offense. Defensively, the tigers finished 5th in pass defense and 7th in total defense.
