Coahoma Tigers with Tough Game against Southwest Saluqis

Early deficit too much to overcome despite five-run fourth inning

Southwest Tennessee jumped out early in the top of the first inning. Brady Cooper singled down the left field line, and Chris Hendson added a sacrifice fly, each driving in a run.

Southwest Tennessee extended its lead in the second, scoring five runs on three hits. Henson hit a two-run home run to left field, a dropped third strike brought in another run, and Tylan Graves followed with a two-run homer to left.

The Tigers responded in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on two hits. Gabe Colòn drew a bases-loaded walk to plate a run, Kolby Baker added a sacrifice fly, Bryce WIlliams was hit by a pitch to force in another run, and Anderson Walker delivered a two-run single.

Bryson Ford started on the mound for CCC, allowing seven runs (three earned) on five hits over two innings while striking out two and walking one.

Walker, Landon Sith, Baker, Colòn and Johnson each recorded a hit for CCC. Walker and Colòn led the team with two RBIs apiece. The Tigers also turned one double play.

Southwest Tennessee finished with 12 hits. Baker led the way with five RBIs, going 2-for-5. Johnathan Walsh and Graves each collected three hits, while Cooper added two. Bright drew three walks as Southwest Tennessee showed patience at the plate, totaling nine walks. The team also played error-free defense, with Henson recording a game-high 10 fielding chances.
 

Coahoma Tigers Baseball will return to action this Saturday, April 25, 2026 against Meridian Community College at home.
