JACKSON, Miss. – Coahoma Community College's
Kielon Jones put on a stellar performance at the Belhaven Invitational, showcasing his athleticism and skill with a dominant first-place finish in the triple jump and an impressive second-place finish in the long jump.
Jones proved to be a force in the Men's Collegiate Triple Jump, soaring to a personal record (PR) of 14.48m (47' 6.25"). His winning jump put him well ahead of the competition, solidifying his place among the region's top jumpers. His ability to execute on the biggest stage was on full display, demonstrating his explosive power and technical precision.
In the Men's Collegiate Long Jump, Jones continued his strong showing, leaping to 6.95m (22' 9.75") to claim second place. His performance was just shy of the winning mark but still showcased his consistency and ability to compete at a high level in multiple events.
With these standout results, the Coahoma sophomore continues to establish himself as a premier jumper, and his performances at Belhaven reflect the hard work and dedication he has put into his craft. As the season progresses, Jones looks to build on this momentum and deliver even greater results in upcoming competitions.
