CLARKSDALE, MS — Shacora Jurden will represent Coahoma Community College on the national stage for the second time as she heads to the NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in New Mexico.
She placed 7th in Long Jump and 5th in Triple Jump against some strong competition at the Maroon & White Last Chance Meet on Friday, May 1, 2026. Shacora had already qualified for Nationals before the event, but to keep in competition shape she competed against the bulldogs and other colleges best.
Jurden earned her spot at nationals through a strong season of competition and continued to prove herself as one of the top athletes in the region.
After her 7th-place finish in the triple jump in Kansas last year, becoming 7th in the nation and earning NJCAA All-American honors in her first season, she will push to eclipse and surpass that this time around.
She will carry Coahoma pride with her as she competes against the nation's best for the second time, while looking to cap off an impressive season with a standout performance on the biggest stage.
