CLARKSDALE, Miss. – The Coahoma Community College Tigers baseball team is set to begin conference play with momentum, having already exceeded last season's win total. With a 6-14 record, the Tigers are determined to continue improving as they face league competition.

The Tigers have battled through a challenging non-conference schedule, securing key wins against Southeast Arkansas College (4-1), UA Rich Mountain (4-2), Hinds Community College (7-1), and Mineral Area College (1-0), among others. Their recent victory has given them confidence as they prepare for MACCC play.
Offensively, Coahoma has posted a .253 team batting average, scoring 85 runs on 124 hits. Jon Wyatt Massey leads the way with a .344 batting average, two home runs, and nine RBIs, while Hugh Parsons boasts a team-best .361 batting average and .489 on-base percentage. Landon Smith has also been a key contributor, hitting .317 with nine stolen bases.
On the mound, the Tigers' pitching staff continues to work on consistency, carrying a 10.66 ERA into conference play. Andrew Paysinger leads the team in innings pitched (23.2) with a respectable 3.80 ERA, while Ryan Mooney has been effective with a 2.40 ERA over 15 innings.
