Box Score CLARKSDALE- Coahoma, and Copiah-Lincoln faced off in a "must win to stay in the postseason race." The Tigers had won 3 of their last four games and had hopes of finishing on their homestand. The Wolves have been struggling recently and looking to get back on track. Coahoma got knocked down but recovered; splitting the doubleheader 11-2 and 6-5.
In the 1st game, Coahoma lost the lead late in an 11-2 defeat. The Tigers took an early 2-1 lead. Marquellis Edgeston got the Tigers going with an RBI single.
The game was tied at two with Co-Lin batting in the top of the fifth when Austin O'Flynn singled, scoring one run.
The Wolves (16-13, 5-11 MACJC) scored six runs in the sixth inning. Thomas Slagle, Jaylyn Williams, CJ Estave, O'Flynn, and Craig Bradley each drove in runs during the inning.
Copiah-Lincoln had 11 hits in the game. O'Flynn, Mark Hubbard, and Ryan Zimmerman each racked up multiple hits.
Christian Day led the Co-Lin to victory on the pitcher's mound. He allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Zac Gilder took the loss for Coahoma. He went five innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out three.

Kyler Johnson each collected one hit to lead the Tigers.
In the 2nd game, Coahoma built a six-run lead in the third inning and then held off Copiah-Lincoln's late charge for a 6-5 victory. The Wolves put up four runs in the failed comeback. Estave, O'Flynn, Hubbard, and Chandler Dillard all picked up RBIs in the rally.
The Tigers earned the victory despite allowing Co-Lin to score three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by the Wolves was led by Estave and Dillard, who all drove in runs.
Co-Lin had runners at 1st and 3rd with two outs. The tying run was at 3rd base. Will Clark was caught in a rundown at 1st base, and
Deonteau Rieves tagged out Clark to end the game.
Coahoma fired up the offense 3-0 in the first inning when
Kyler Johnson hit a 3-run homer.
Johnson and Rieves got a pair of RBI singles extending the lead to 6-0.
Copiah-Lincoln collected 11 hits. Estave and O'Flynn each collected multiple hits. Estave went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wolves.
Parker Lee took the loss for Copiah-Lincoln. He went two and a third innings, allowing six runs on five hits, striking out two and walking zero.
Wyatt Bailey was the winning pitcher for Coahoma. He surrendered five runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Eduardo Munoz threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Johnson led the Tigers with two hits in two at-bats.
Coahoma goes to (19-15, 7-9 MACJC) on the season. They will continue MACJC Conference play against Itawamba Community College. The game is set for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2018, in Fulton, MS. It will be part of a doubleheader followed by game two at 6 p.m.
