GOODMAN—The Baseball Tigers dropped two in Goodman Wednesday, falling to Holmes CC by finals of 11-0 and 9-2. Bulldog pitching kept the Tiger bats mostly at bay, handing the CCC squad its first back-to-back losses in a doubleheader since March 29th. 

Bulldog ace Cole Feazell started Game 1 for the home squad. The Elmer, LA native was masterful, keeping the Tigers off the board for 6 innings to earn his 6th win of the year. 

Dustin Allen took the hill in the first contest for the Tigers and was excellent in the early going. He did not allow a run over the first 3 frames.

The Holmes squad was able to break through in the 4th though, tagging him for 3 runs. They would drive him from the game in the 5th, reeling off a total of 8 runs against the Tiger starter and his relievers, Hunter Collins and Michael Allen, to put the game out of reach. 

Garrett Short took the hill for the Tigers in Game 2 against the still-hot Holmes bats. The Bulldog attack tagged him for 6 runs over his 4 innings of work before adding 3 more against relief man Adam McPhail.

Luis Colon scored both runs for the Tigers in the game, and Hudson Ross picked up a late RBI to bring his season total to 8. Bailey Lott reached base 3 times, picking up 1 walk, 1 single, and 1 double. Lott has reached base in 9 out of the last 10 games he has appeared in for the Tigers, including the last 7 in a row. 

With the losses, the Tigers now stand at 3-27 on the year and 2-14 in conference play. Holmes improved 17-13 and 7-7 in the MACJC.

CCC returns to action with a doubleheader scheduled to be played in Wesson vs. Copiah-Lincoln on Saturday. First pitch will be thrown at 2 pm.
