CLARKSDALE, Miss. - The Coahoma Community College football team will host Northeast Mississippi Community College on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. inside James E. Miller Stadium in Clarksdale, Mississippi, for the 2026 Homecoming game.
The Tigers enter the match up carrying significant momentum following a 35-23 road victory over Mississippi Delta Community College. The Coahoma offense produced 526 total yards during the divisional win. Quarterback Jacob Clopton commanded the unit, completing 19 of 30 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 76 rushing yards. Wide receiver Jaden Moses anchored the passing game with seven receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Isaac Day led the Tigers with 82 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Prentavis Madison contributed 68 rushing yards and a decisive fourth-quarter score.
Northeast Mississippi (3-5) arrives in Clarksdale after securing a 35-14 victory over Pearl River Community College. The Tigers offense generated 412 total yards in the win, relying heavily on a ground attack that accumulated 242 rushing yards. Quarterback Xae Mayes serves as a dual-threat catalyst, having rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns against Pearl River, alongside 170 passing yards. Running back Micah Pledger further bolsters the Northeast rushing attack, carrying the ball 17 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns in his previous outing.
The contest will feature a critical battle in the trenches. Coahoma's defensive front effectively shut down Mississippi Delta last week, allowing only 29 total rushing yards and recording six sacks. The Tigers will look to replicate that pressure against Northeast's productive rushing scheme. A strong defensive performance will be a major factor as Coahoma seeks to secure a consecutive division victory in front of the returning alumni base.
