CLARKSDALE, Miss. - To ensure a safe and exciting experience for Homecoming 2026 on Saturday, Oct. 24, Coahoma Community College Athletics is announcing updated tailgating, parking, and stadium entry guidelines ahead of the 2 p.m. kickoff. As alumni and supporters return to James E. Miller Stadium, they will be welcomed by continued facility transformations, including a state-of-the-art turf playing surface and a digital video scoreboard in the north end zone.
Because of high traffic volumes surrounding the stadium, college officials strongly emphasize arriving early and carpooling. To manage campus traffic flow, Coahoma Drive and Mackey Lake Drive will operate with designated one-way access from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on game day.
Game day parking is $20 for cars and small trucks, $200 for RVs, and $200 for approved vendors. All parking fees are strictly cash only, with proceeds being reinvested directly into athletic facility improvements. Accessible parking is available in designated spaces for vehicles displaying valid ADA credentials.
While parking is cash only, Coahoma utilizes a completely cashless game day system at stadium entry gates and concession stands. Ticket booths will open at 12:30 p.m., but fans are highly encouraged to purchase and download digital tickets ahead of time through the official Coahoma Athletics Ticket Portal to bypass lines.
Tailgating setup will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with official tailgating hours spanning from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tailgating permits range from $100 to $200 depending on the location. Tailgaters must provide their own equipment and portable generators, as the unauthorized use of campus utilities is prohibited. To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, DJs and public address systems are not allowed, and all pets are prohibited on campus with the exception of service animals. Tailgaters are expected to bag all trash and safely dispose of coals, ashes, and cooking materials.
A strict clear bag policy is enforced for all athletic events. Permitted items include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Exceptions are made for medically necessary items following a proper inspection at the gate.
The main stadium gate will serve as entrance only, and patrons must exit the stadium via the clearly marked side gate. Once inside the stadium, there is a strict no reentry policy. Coahoma is a completely tobacco-free campus. Weapons, alcoholic beverages, and unauthorized solicitation are strictly prohibited on all college property. Loitering behind the end zones or locker room areas is not permitted, and absolutely no unauthorized personnel are allowed on the football field or sidelines before, during, or after the game.
