Box Score SENATOBIA, Miss. — The Coahoma Community College Tigers battled through a difficult road matchup Thursday night, falling 45-7 to the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers at Bobby Franklin Field.

Northwest established control early, building a 35-0 lead by halftime. The Rangers used a balanced offensive attack and added a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second half.

Coahoma continued to compete throughout the game and found the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.

Jacob Clopton connected with wide receiver
Jaden Moses on an 18-yard touchdown pass with 12:17 remaining, giving the Tigers their first score of the night. Clopton finished 15-of-24 passing for 120 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Moses was Clopton's top receiving target, recording 10 receptions for 76 yards.
On the ground, running back
Prentavis Madison led Coahoma with 38 yards on 15 carries, while Clopton added 29 rushing yards on nine attempts.

The Tigers finished with 191 total yards, including 120 through the air and 71 on the ground. Coahoma also converted 5 of 12 third-down opportunities and controlled the ball for 31:22.

Defensively, Deshun Brooks led the Tigers with six total tackles.
Jason Spencer and
Derrion Gould each recorded four total tackles.

Northwest finished with 449 total yards, including 262 passing yards and 187 rushing yards. Noah Gillon accounted for 275 total yards and three touchdowns, while Damon Sisa added a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

The Coahoma Tigers return to action next week against East Mississippi Community College as they continue northern conference play at home on Thursday, Oct. 8. Kick off will be at 6:30 p.m.
