Tigers to host Copiah-Lincoln for season finale, Sophomore Night and Gray Out

CLARKSDALE, Miss. — The Coahoma Community College football team will host Copiah-Lincoln Community College for the season finale on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. inside James E. Miller Stadium in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

The highly anticipated divisional matchup will serve as Sophomore Night, honoring 18 departing student-athletes, and will feature a "Gray Out" theme to promote Domestic Violence Awareness. The Tigers (1-8, 1-5) look to close out their 2026 campaign with a victory following a 49-19 setback against Northeast Mississippi. Quarterback Jacob Clopton will direct the Coahoma offense after throwing for 138 yards and rushing for a touchdown in last week's matchup. Running backs Isaac Day and Prentavis Madison, who both recorded rushing touchdowns against Northeast, will aim to establish the ground game early.

Copiah-Lincoln (5-3, 3-2) arrives in the Delta after securing a narrow 32-31 victory over Pearl River Community College. The Wolves' offense generated 380 total yards in their recent win, led by quarterback Kendal Middleton. Middleton efficiently completed 10 of 17 pass attempts for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Kendarious Porter anchors the Co-Lin rushing attack, having recorded 48 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns on 16 carries against Pearl River.

The Coahoma defense, which saw defensive back Brandon Mitchell secure a 32-yard interception return last week, will need to contain Co-Lin's dynamic receiving threats. The Wolves are highlighted on the perimeter by receiver Bryant Sanchez, who tallied 73 receiving yards and a touchdown in his last outing. The matchup promises physical play in the trenches as the Tigers' defensive front battles a resilient Copiah-Lincoln offensive line to send their sophomore leaders out with a definitive home victory.
