Coahoma Community College celebrates seven of its dedicated football players who have been named to the All-MACCC North Division postseason honors list. Despite a challenging season, these athletes have demonstrated remarkable talent, earning recognition from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) for their exceptional performances. The highest honor goes to Jeremiah McCrimmon, named First Team Offensive Lineman. McCrimmon's strength and determination made him a crucial anchor on the Tigers' offensive line, setting the tone for his teammates in every game.
Deshaun Catron earned Second Team Return Specialist honors. Known for his speed and agility, Catron consistently put Coahoma in favorable field positions with his dynamic return ability, often energizing the team with his electrifying plays. At Tight End, Keith Richburg Jr. received Second Team Tight End recognition for his steady hands and versatility. Richburg Jr.'s reliable blocking and clutch catches made him an essential part of Coahoma's offense. The Tigers also celebrate Damian Gonzalez, who earned Second Team Kicker and an Honorable Mention as a Punter.Â
Gonzalez's precision and consistency on field goals and punts were instrumental to the special teams unit, often providing crucial points and field position advantages. Brandon Johnson was recognized as Second Team Wide Receiver, thanks to his big-play ability and consistent performances throughout the season. Johnson's athleticism and speed made him a top target in Coahoma's passing game. Defensive powerhouse Jerrell Erving received Second Team Defensive Lineman honors for his relentless pursuit and strong presence on the field. Erving's ability to pressure quarterbacks and disrupt offensive plays proved invaluable to Coahoma's defense.Â
Finally, Immanuel Griffin was honored with Honorable Mention Running Back. Griffin's resilience and powerful runs gave the Tigers' offense an extra edge, as he consistently fought for yards and brought versatility to the team's backfield. As the Sports Information Director, I had the privilege of following these players across every mile and every moment of the season, documenting their hard work and passion in each game. These honors are a testament to their perseverance and skill, and they represent the heart and spirit of our Tigers program. Coahoma Community College proudly congratulates each of these student-athletes on their achievements. We look forward to their continued success as they represent our college both on and off the field.
