The CCC baseball team fell to Southern Arkansas University Tech in both games on Saturday, March 4. The matchups were played in Millington, Tennessee.

In the opening game, Coahoma's Christo Peeks recorded three hits. In the bottom of the sixth inning, CCC scored off an RBI single by Peeks, which scored Cade Gadman. SAU Tech registered 14 hits in the game, and won 11-1 in seven innings.

In the second game, CCC trailed 3-0 in the middle of the first inning. The Tigers countered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The first Coahoma run of the inning was scored by Anthony Newson via an error, while the second run was scored by Peeks off an RBI single by Donovan Shead.

Coahoma tallied seven hits in the matchup, but SAU Tech recorded 19. CCC fell in the second game 17-3 in seven innings.

The Tigers are now 3-11 this season. CCC plays against East Central and Northeast Mississippi on Tuesday, March 7. Those matchups will be played in Fulton, MS.
