The CCC baseball team fell short in a doubleheader at East Central on Saturday. In the first game, the Tigers fell 10-0 in seven innings. East Central won the second matchup 8-7 in seven innings.

One of the highlights of the day for CCC was a four-hit game by Cade Gadman in the second matchup. Gadman's four hits came in five at bats. He tallied two RBI's, while scoring one run.

The Tigers scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning of that matchup to take a 6-2 lead. Coahoma tallied an impressive 15 hits in the game, but ECCC picked up the one-run win.

Saturday's doubleheader marked the opening games of conference play for each team. The Tigers are now 3-15 (0-2 MACCC) this season; ECCC is 10-10 (2-0 MACCC).

CCC will host Northeast Mississippi in a two-game series on Wednesday, March 15, at 12:00 p.m.
