The Tigers fall in doubleheader at Meridian

The CCC baseball team played at Meridian Community College on Friday, Feb. 10.

In the opening game, the Tigers were held scoreless. Coahoma prevented MCC from scoring in three innings, but Meridian won the first matchup of the day 9-0 in seven innings. Aiden

Singley was the starting pitcher for CCC. He allowed four earned runs in 4.0 innings pitched.

In the second game of the doubleheader, CCC trailed 1-0 entering the third inning. In the top of the inning, Coahoma had the bases loaded with two outs.
Logan Muhleisen was hit by a pitch on the ensuing at bat, which scored Donovan Shead. On the next at bat, CCC scored two runs off a Meridian error. A swinging strikeout on the next at bat ended the side.

The score was tied 3-3 entering the sixth inning, but MCC won the matchup 13-3 in six innings. Tyler Cavenaugh was the Tigers' starting pitcher in this matchup. He recorded two strikeouts, while allowing three hits and one earned run in 3.2 innings pitched.

The Tigers are now 0-6 (0-0 MACCC) this season; Meridian is 4-2 (0-0 MACCC).
Coahoma's next series is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 15.
