Coahoma Community College Athletics has hired Hunter Floyd as Coahoma's new assistant baseball coach.

Floyd played college baseball at East Mississippi Community College and Mississippi College. He served as EMCC's pitching coach throughout the 2020-22 seasons.

On June 30, 2022, CCC announced that Austin Biggs had been named the Tigers' new head baseball coach. Biggs was a coach at MC during Floyd's time as a pitcher for the Choctaws.

While Biggs has previously coached in the MACCC at Hinds Community College and Southwest Mississippi Community College; he was at Paul D. Camp Community College in Virginia last season.

Upon his return to the MACCC; he wanted to hire an assistant coach who knew the current landscape of the conference.

"It was very important for me to get a coach who was in the league this past season," Biggs said. "Coach Floyd was at East Mississippi for the last three years. They were the second-best pitching staff in the state last year, and he was a huge part of that."
