Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The CCC baseball team played against Mississippi Delta and Northwest Mississippi in a round robin at NWCC on Wednesday.

Against MS. Delta, Coahoma took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning as Erick Lopez scored for CCC. After five runless innings for MDCC, the Trojans scored four runs in the top of the sixth. The Tigers were able to get two runners on base with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but MS. Delta won the game 4-1.

In the second game of the day, CCC led 2-1 over Northwest in the middle of the third inning. NWCC scored five runs in the bottom of the inning as the Tigers surrendered several free bases. In the top of the sixth inning, Ethan McNatt scored off an RBI single from Anthony Newson. A few at bats later, Newson scored off an RBI single from Zales Lewis. Coahoma trailed 7-4 in the middle of the sixth inning.

After holding Northwest runless in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Tigers took an 8-7 lead in the top of the seventh. The game went into extra innings as NWCC tied the score 8-8 in the bottom of the seventh.

With the score still tied 8-8 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the bases were loaded for Northwest Mississippi with one out. The Rangers won the game 9-8 off an HBP.

Following Wednesday's games, CCC is 2-4 this season; the Trojans are 5-6; NWCC is 10-6.
