02.22

The Coahoma Lady Tigers are entering an exciting softball season, despite facing challenges like unexpected weather changes. The team's schedule has been shuffled around due to the unpredictable conditions, but these setbacks are only fueling their determination to adapt and improve. The players and coaches, including head softball coach Whitney Brinston in her third year, are committed to turning these challenges into opportunities for growth.

Kicking off the season, the Lady Tigers played their first game against Bevill State College on February 20th. Looking ahead, the Lady Tigers are gearing up for a comeback in their upcoming game against Southern Arkansas University Tech on February 23rd at home.

Adding to the excitement of the season is the introduction of Milay Lambert as the new assistant softball coach. Lambert, a former standout player at Coahoma, brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to the coaching staff. Her impressive track record, including earning SIAC Player of the Year and first-team all-America honors during her time at Lane College, positions her as a valuable asset to the Lady Tigers.

Milay Lambert's return to Coahoma creates a unique connection between the team's past and present. Having been a standout player for the Lady Tigers, Lambert intimately understands the program's history and traditions. Her success at Lane College reflects her dedication to excellence, making her an ideal candidate to contribute to Coahoma's softball program.

With Milay Lambert and Head Coach Whitney Brinston leading the coaching staff, there is a sense of optimism surrounding the Lady Tigers' ability to create a winning tradition. Brinston, returning for her third year as head coach, provides continuity and experience. The coaching staff is committed to nurturing the talents of the players and fostering a culture of excellence, contributing to the continued success of Coahoma softball.

Despite weather-related challenges, the Coahoma Lady Tigers are poised for an eventful softball season.
