The Tigers fall 73-71 at MGCCC

The CCC men's basketball team played at Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday night. Coahoma fell 73-71 as MGCCC made a field goal in the closing seconds of the game. CCC had the possession with little time remaining, and was unable to score.

Kei Johnson tallied 26 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals. He led the team in scoring, while being tied for the lead in rebounds and steals.

O'zhell Jackson registered another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists and two steals.

Dontae Prescott was one of three Tigers to score in double-digits as he tallied 13 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals.

Ben Galmore, Jaqai Murray, and Jo Perez combined to record 19 points for the Tigers.

Coahoma recorded 13 offensive rebounds, 19 assists, and 16 steals.

The Tigers are now 9-6 (2-3 MACCC) this season; Mississippi Gulf Coast is 8-10 (2-4 MACCC).

CCC's next game is slated for Thursday night as the Tigers will host Northwest Mississippi. That matchup is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
