The Tigers fall 60-58 in OT at Meridian

The CCC men's basketball team had its fourth overtime game of the season on Thursday night in a matchup at Meridian Community College. The Tigers entered Thursday night with a 3-0 record in overtime games this season, but it was MCC that won the game 60-58 in OT.

Ben Galmore, Dontae Prescott, Kei Johnson, Jaqai Murray, Gregg Magee, Kavan Wooten, Korea McKay II, and O'zhell Jackson each scored for Coahoma in the opening half. CCC led 24-23 at halftime.

Jackson, Prescott, and Johnson combined to score 24 points for Coahoma in the second half. CCC had the possession with just over three seconds remaining in regulation, but a turnover led to overtime. MCC went on to win the game 60-58 in OT.

The Tigers are now 7-3 (0-0 MACCC) this season; Meridian is 8-2 (0-0 MACCC).

Coahoma's next game will be played on Jan. 5 in a home game against Tennessee Prep Academy. That matchup is slated to start at 6:00 p.m.
