The Tigers fall short against Meridian

Box Score On Thursday night, the CCC men's basketball team played at Meridian Community College.

In the first half, Coahoma's Ben Galmore led the Tigers in scoring with 10 points. At halftime, CCC trailed 42-26.

The Tigers' Quan Brown tallied 19 points in the second half. The sophomore made eight field goals in the half, and was 3-of-4 at the free-throw line. Coahoma outscored MCC 28-24 in the second half, but Meridian won the game 66-54.

Galmore and Brown were the only Tigers that scored in double figures. The duo combined to score 35 points.

CCC is now 0-2 against Meridian this season. In the first meeting, Coahoma did not trail until the 4:21-mark of the second half, but the Eagles won in overtime 72-64.

The Tigers are now 4-8 (0-3 MACCC) this season; MCC is 10-4 (2-3 MACCC).

Coahoma's next game is scheduled to be against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College inside of the Pinnacle on Monday, Jan. 17, at 6:00 p.m.
