CLARKSDALE, Miss. — The Coahoma Community College football team is calling on Tiger Nation to create a "White Out" environment as it defends its home turf on Thursday, Sept. 3, against Jones College for the 2026 home opener at James E. Miller Stadium.
The Tigers enter the match up looking to build on an explosive offensive performance from their season opener, where they generated 459 yards of total offense in a narrow 27-21 road loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Quarterback Jacob Clopton leads the Coahoma attack after an impressive dual-threat showing last week. Clopton completed 20 of 29 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. The offense is further powered by running back Prentavis Madison, who anchored the ground game with 82 rushing yards on 17 carries, and wide receiver Abraylen Jenkins, who hauled in five catches for 74 yards.
Defensively, the Tigers will rely on Ardavius Harris, who recorded a team-high nine total tackles, including five solo stops, in the season opener. The defensive front will aim to apply pressure, building on a performance where Jakylen Patton and Dacaris Brown combined for a quarterback sack.
Jones College arrives in Clarksdale seeking its first win of the season after falling 38-35 to Northwest Mississippi Community College on a last-second field goal. The Bobcats feature a potent rushing attack led by running back CJ Rush, who recorded 61 yards and four rushing touchdowns in their season opener. Quarterback Jevarion Glover guides the Jones passing game after throwing for 209 yards and one touchdown last week, with receiver Tyree Barnett serving as his primary target following a standout performance of nine catches for 169 yards.
Fans attending tonight's game are encouraged to wear white apparel in support of the Tigers' "White Out" theme. Additionally, attendees are reminded that the Coahoma Community College Department of Athletics has begun a soft rollout of cashless game day operations. While cash will still be accepted at limited, designated stations, fans are highly encouraged to use debit cards, credit cards, or mobile payment platforms for all on-site purchases to ensure the fastest service possible.
