LADY TIGERS VS LADY BOBCATS GAME ONE: 1-9
The Lady Tigers were putting up a great defense against the Lady Bob Cats in the first and second innings. Jones jumped out to the lead in the top of the third inning after their #13 singled, scoring three runs due to an error by the Lady Tigers, #16 singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Number #9 earned the win for Jones . The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking none. Shingler took the loss for CCC Lady Tigers. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, allowing eight runs on six hits, striking out none and walking three.
Anabelle Berryhill and
Kimora Bouldin each collected one hit for CCC Lady Tigers. Berryhill went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Number #16, #7, #3, #5, #15, #27, #13, and #1 each collected one hit for Jones . #5 and #15 each drove in two runs for Jones . #3 stole two bases. Jones stole three bases in the game. Jones didn't commit a single error in the field. #16 had the most chances in the field with six.
LADY TIGERS VS LADY BOBCATS GAME TWO: 1-9
The second game for the Lady Tigers was a mirror image of the first, except that the runs started early in the first inning instead of the third. The Bobcats opened the scoring in the first after #15 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Jones players scored five runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. #13 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #5 hit a grand slam to left field. Jones added two runs in the third. #12 singled to the left side of the infield, making the score 8-0. K Bouldin started the game for CCC Lady Tigers. The pitcher gave up six hits and eight runs over three innings, striking out one and walking four. #20 started the game for Jones . The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Kaylee Ables, Wallace, and Bouldin each collected one hit for CCC Lady Tigers. Benefield led CCC Lady Tigers with one run batted in. Number #5 went 1 for 2 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Jones #12, the number eight hitter, led Jones with two hits in two at bats. Jones had patience at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. Jones controlled the tempo on the base paths, accumulating three stolen bases for the game. Coahoma Lady Tigers made a significant amount of errors this game, where as Jones did not make a single one.Â
