The CCC softball team hosted Jones College on Friday, March 24, in a doubleheader. CCC was shut out in both games, as Jones won the series.
In the opening game, JC scored 15 runs in the third inning en route to a 20-0 win in five innings.
Coahoma's offense saw success in the second game with eight hits. CCC's
Sania Riley tallied two hits in the second matchup, which led the team.
The Triple C had multiple runners on base in four of the five innings played, but the Lady Tigers did not score as Jones College went on to win the game 19-0.
The Lady Tigers are now 5-17 (0-10 MACCC) this season; Jones College is 23-6 (8-2 MACCC).
