The CCC softball team fell short in both matchups of Saturday's doubleheader at Hinds.
In the opening game, CCC scored two runs in the top of the third inning when an RBI double by
Ashanti Stephens scored
Terra Shaw and
Bailey Edwards. The opening matchup was won by Hinds 15-2 in five innings.
In the second contest of the day, the Lady Tigers scored three runs in the top of the third inning. The first two runs of the side were registered when an RBI double by
Kaela Pangman scored
Talah Hunter and
Ashanti Stephens.
Later in the side, an RBI fly out by
Delainee Burnham scored
Ziay Graves. The second game was won by Hinds 10-3 in seven innings.
The Lady Tigers are now 5-13 (0-6 MACCC) this season; Hinds is 5-19 (2-4 MACCC).
Coahoma hosts Itawamba in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 21. That series is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
