Box Score The CCC women's basketball team played at Meridian Community College on Thursday night. Coahoma entered the matchup with a three-game winning streak.
Elishia Wilson tallied two 3-pointers en route to scoring eight points in the opening quarter for CCC. Going into the second quarter, Coahoma trailed 21-16.
The Lady Tigers scored nine points in the second quarter, and trailed 34-25 at the half. The Maroon and White recorded three 3-pointers in the third quarter, but Meridian led 48-40 going into the final quarter.
Just like they did in the first and third quarters; Coahoma tallied three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. The game was tied with under one minute remaining, but Meridian went on to win the game 65-60.
Wilson, Tiara Abron, Jamyia Bowen, Mackenzie Carter, Janiya Jones, and Jamea Smith each scored for CCC in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Tigers are now 7-4 (3-1 MACCC) this season; MCC is 14-3 (3-2 MACCC).
Coahoma's next game is slated for Monday, Jan. 23, as CCC will host Mississippi Gulf Coast. That matchup is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
