CCC began the season with a three-game winning streak as they defeated East Central 52-28, Southwest Mississippi 28-15, and Mississippi Delta 47-10. Through three games, the Tigers were averaging 42 points per game, while allowing just 18 a game.
Last week, Coahoma fell to Holmes 28-21 in OT. CCC is now 3-1 (1-1 North) this season. Coahoma, East Mississippi, Jones College, and Northwest Mississippi are the only teams in the conference with at least three wins this season.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, Coahoma plays at Copiah-Lincoln. The Wolves are 2-2 (1-1 South) on the season having defeated Mississippi Delta 37-7 and Southwest Mississippi 44-13, while falling short against East Mississippi 38-0 and Jones College 23-17.
Copiah-Lincoln is averaging 380.5 yards of offense per game, while allowing just 281.8 yards per game. Co-Lin is fourth in the MACCC in rushing yards allowed per game with average of 90.3.
