The Coahoma Community College football team is 3-0 (1-0 North) this season having defeated East Central 52-28, Southwest Mississippi 28-15, and Mississippi Delta 47-10. The Maroon and White enter Saturday's game listed at No. 15 in the NJCAA DI Football Poll.
Coahoma, Northwest Mississippi, and Jones College are currently the only undefeated teams in the MACCC this season. The trio entered the week with that distinction. NWCC and JC won on Thursday night, and are now 4-0.
CCC entered the week leading the conference in several offensive categories: points per game (42), yards per game (422), passing yards per completion (15), passing touchdowns (8), rushing yards per game (243), yards per rush (5.7), and interceptions (8).
Coahoma's defense presently leads the conference in multiple categories: yards allowed per game (247), rushing yards allowed per game (62), and interceptions per game (3).
As for Holmes, the Bulldogs are 1-2 (0-1 North) this season. HCC fell at Pearl River 49-24, won at East Central 41-37, and was defeated by EMCC 45-9 last week.
The Bulldogs are averaging 282 passing yards per game, which ranks second in the conference. Coahoma is allowing just 185 passing yards per game this season.
