Coahoma plays at Mississippi Delta on Thursday night

The CCC Tigers defeated East Central 52-28 in their season opener, and won 28-15 at Southwest Mississippi last week.

Coahoma travels to Moorhead, Mississippi, on Thursday to face the Mississippi Delta Trojans. MDCC fell to SMCC 50-0 before being defeated by Copiah-Lincoln 37-7 last week.

Offensively, the Coahoma Tigers have totaled 913 yards and 12 touchdowns throughout the first two games of the season.

Jakobi Jackson, QJ Skipper, and Mekhi Norris account for a large portion of CCC's rushing attack as the trio have combined for 70 carries, 480 yards, and six rushing touchdowns.

While the Tigers have seen much success with the running game; they've also had success through the air. In the opening game, QB Jaden Johnson connected with wide receiver Terrick Latham on a 49-yard touchdown pass. In the second matchup of the season, a pass from QB Mekhi Norris to receiver Marquis Willis accounted for a 43-yard TD.

Defensively, CCC has allowed only 520 yards throughout the first two games, while tallying nine turnovers.

Tylonde Bateaste and Samson Israel have each tallied two interceptions this season with Jaylin Simmons contributing one INT.

Linebacker Tre'Shun Johnson is leading Coahoma in fumble recoveries with two, while Kaleb Brown is leading the Tigers in sacks with a total of three throughout two games.
