Box Score The CCC women's basketball team defeated Hinds Community College 83-47 on Thursday night. With the victory, Coahoma is 4-0 in home games this season.
The score was tied 13-13 with 1:43 remaining in the first quarter, but an 8-0 run by the Lady Tigers gave CCC a 21-13 lead midway through the opening half.
In the second quarter, seven players scored for Coahoma as CCC made 10 field goals. At halftime, the Lady Tigers led 44-26.
Tiara Abron scored six of CCC's 12 points in the third quarter. Coahoma held Hinds to 10 points in the quarter, and possessed a 56-36 advantage with 10 minutes left to play in regulation.

Jeanee Anderson,
Rolonda Willis,
Tiana Abron,
Emmia Johnson,
Nakia Cheatham, and
Elishia Wilson each scored for Coahoma. Backus recorded 13 points in the final quarter, and finished the game with a team-leading 16 points.
The Lady Tigers are now 8-2 this season; HCC is 0-8.
Coahoma's next game is scheduled to be at Itawamba on Monday, Jan. 10. The matchup is slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
