The CCC women's basketball team will host Northwest Mississippi Community College tonight, Jan. 20, at 6:00 p.m.

On Nov. 20, 2021, the Lady Tigers won at Northwest Mississippi 72-70. CCC's Nakia Cheatham, Brayland Ferguson, and Elishia Wilson each tallied at least 12 points and eight rebounds in that matchup. Wilson led all players in both categories with 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds.

Coahoma recorded 14 offensive rebounds in that game, and outrebounded NWCC 38-29. The Lady Tigers also tallied 16 assists and six steals, while going 10-of-13 at the free-throw line.

CCC enters tonight's matchup with a two-game winning streak that features a 49-42 victory over Meridian and a 70-50 win at Mississippi Gulf Coast.

As for Coahoma's opponent tonight, Northwest Mississippi has won two of its past three games. Sophomore guard Tierra Trotter is leading NWCC in points per game this season with 15.4 PPG to go along with 6.2 RPG and 3.1 APG.

The Lady Tigers are 10-3 (4-1 MACCC) this season; Northwest Mississippi is 9-6 (3-3 MACCC).
