Box Score On Monday night, the CCC women's basketball team played at Itawamba Community College.
In the opening quarter,
Elishia Wilson scored five points for Coahoma, while
Tiara Abron and
Jeanee Anderson each made a 3-pointer for CCC. Midway through the first half; the Lady Tigers trailed ICC 16-15.
CCC outscored Itawamba 12-10 in the second quarter as Wilson,
Tiara Abron, and
Ashanti Backus combined to record 11 points. At halftime, the Lady Tigers led 27-26.
Despite Coahoma making three 3-pointers, and scoring 18 points in the third quarter; ICC led 47-45 with one quarter remaining in regulation.
Wilson,
Emmia Johnson,
Nakia Cheatham,
Tiana Abron,
Ashanti Backus, and
Tiara Abron each scored for CCC in the fourth quarter. Despite Coahoma's efforts; the Lady Indians won the game 73-66.
Backus, Wilson, and
Tiara Abron each scored in double figures for the Lady Tigers. The trio combined to recordĀ 45 of CCC's 66 points.
The Lady Tigers are now 8-3 (2-1 MACCC) this season; Itawamba is 8-3 (3-0 MACCC).
Coahoma's next game is scheduled to be against Meridian Community College inside of the Pinnacle on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 5:30 p.m. That matchup will broadcast live on
