The Lady Tigers remain undefeated with 68-63 victory over East Central

Box Score On Monday night, the CCC women's basketball team was victorious against East Central Community College. With the win, the Lady Tigers advance to 7-0 (1-0 MACCC) this season.

East Central began the game with an 8-0 run, but Coahoma held a 19-18 lead after the opening quarter of play. The Lady Tigers were outscored by six points in the second quarter, which made the score 41-36 at halftime.

After each team scored 12 points in the third quarter; Coahoma outscored ECCC 20-10 in the fourth to win the game 68-63.

CCC's Elishia Wilson led all scorers with 15 points to go along with seven rebounds. Coahoma guard Ashanti Backus recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

Monday's game also marked the first start of the season for the Lady Tigers' Jeanee Anderson. The sophomore guard tallied 14 points, while going 3-of-4 from three-point range.

Coahoma's Tiara Abron was one of four Lady Tigers that scored in double figures against East Central. Abron tallied 12 points, and made two 3-pointers.

The next game for CCC is on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Southern Arkansas University Tech. The matchup is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
