The CCC women's basketball team has had an impressive start to the 2021-22 season. The 6-0 Lady Tigers have defeated East Mississippi, Mississippi Delta, Holmes, Northeast Mississippi, Itawamba, and Northwest Mississippi.

Coahoma's most recent game was on Nov. 20 at Northwest. Brayland Ferguson, Nakia Cheatham, and Elishia Wilson each recorded at least 12 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Tigers. CCC picked up its sixth victory of the season via a 72-70 road win.

The Lady Tigers' upcoming matchup is at East Central Community College today, Dec. 6, at 6:00 p.m. The East Central Lady Warriors are 4-4 this season, and enter tonight's game off a 76-49 loss at Pearl River.

ECCC is led in scoring by Sylvia Jones. The sophomore guard is averaging 13.8 PPG this season off 40% shooting from the floor. Jones is one of four players for East Central that is averaging at least 8.5 PPG thus far this season.
