Box Score The CCC women's basketball team played against Tyler Junior College today, Dec. 30, at Bossier Parish Community College.

Coahoma scored nine points in the opening quarter, and TJC led 20-9 midway through the first half.

In the second quarter, Tiara Abron and Ashanti Backus combined to score 15 points for CCC as the duo tallied three 3-pointers. At halftime, Tyler Junior College led 37-26.

The Lady Tigers recorded 19 points in the third quarter as Backus, Tiara Abron, Jeanee Anderson, Tiana Abron, Nakia Cheatham, and Elishia Wilson each scored. Entering the final quarter of play; Coahoma trailed 63-45.

In the fourth quarter, Cheatham and Tiara Abron combined to score 12 of the Lady Tigers' 18 points. The final score was 80-63 in favor of TJC.

Backus, Cheatham, and Tiara Abron each scored in double figures for CCC. Tiara Abron led Coahoma in scoring with 24 points.

The Lady Tigers now have an overall record of 7-2 this season; Tyler Junior College is 11-2.

CCC's next game is scheduled to be against Hinds Community College on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The matchup will take place inside of the Pinnacle, and will stream live on www.coahomasports.com/watch.
