Coahoma falls 72-66 against MCC

The CCC men's basketball team hosted Meridian on Thursday night. Coahoma led 39-37 at halftime, but were outscored by eight points in the second half as MCC won the game 72-66.

Kei Johnson led CCC in scoring with 27 points, which tied his season high. He also led the team in blocks with three.

O'zhell Jackson recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds, which marked his 10th double-double of the season.

Jaqai Murray also scored in double-figures for the Tigers as he registered 12 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Dontae Prescott led Coahoma in steals with three, while also contributing five points and four assists. Ben Galmore, Amarion Hoggan, and Jo Perez also scored for CCC.

The Tigers are now 9-5 (2-2 MACCC) this season; Meridian is 11-4 (3-2 MACCC).

Coahoma's next game will be at Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday, Jan. 23, in a matchup slated for 6:00 p.m.
