The CCC baseball team played at Hinds Community College in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Coahoma fell in the opening matchup 10-0 in six innings. In the second game, the Tigers trailed 4-0 after three innings.
With two runners on base and no outs in the top of the fourth inning; CCC's Zales Lewis tallied a bunt single. An error on the play by HCC resulted in Bryland Skinner and Josiah Rivera each scoring for Coahoma, while Lewis advanced to second base. Later in the inning, Lewis scored off a sacrifice fly from Donovan Shead.
The Tigers trailed 6-4 after six innings of play. The seventh inning began with a home run by Coahoma's Anyelo Sanchez on the opening pitch of the side. Despite the Tigers' efforts; Hinds won the game 6-5 in seven innings.
CCC is now 7-25 (2-20 MACCC) this season; the Hinds Eagles are 24-14 (17-7 MACCC).
