Coahoma baseball drops doubleheader at Itawamba

The CCC baseball team played at Itawamba Community College in a two-game series on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

The opening matchup was won by ICC 10-0 in five innings. Itawamba tallied eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

In the second game, Coahoma had two runners on base with two outs in the top of the first inning. The third out occurred on the ensuing at bat with a swinging strikeout.

The Tigers went on to score one run in the fifth inning as ICC won the matchup 12-1 in five innings.

Coahoma is now 7-23 (2-18 MACCC) this season; the Itawamba Indians are 16-18 (10-12 MACCC.)
