Box Score Yesterday, the CCC men's basketball team hosted Northeast Mississippi Community College at the Pinnacle on Sophomore Night. Before the game, the Coahoma Tigers recognized sophomores Quan Brown and Mook Harris.
Coahoma recorded a 16-3 run early in the first half, which gave CCC a 21-7 lead. NEMCC responded by scoring 11 unanswered points, but Coahoma countered with a 9-3 run. The score was 30-21 at halftime in favor of CCC. Coahoma led for a vast portion of the second half, but Northeast won the game 65-58.
CCC was led in scoring by Raeshun McGregory, who recorded 20 points, while going 4-of-9 from 3-PT range. Guard Ben Galmore tallied 18 points and six assists. Galmore also went 4-of-9 on 3-point attempts. Brown tallied 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Coahoma is now 6-15 (2-10 MACCC) this season; the Northeast Mississippi Lions are 18-4 (10-3 MACCC). The next game for CCC is slated to be at Pearl River on Thursday, Feb. 17. That matchup is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
