Box Score The CCC women's basketball team hosted Mississippi Delta at the Pinnacle on Thursday, Feb. 10. The Lady Tigers began the game with a 17-0 run, and won by a final score of 73-40.
Coahoma's
Jeanee Anderson,
Nakia Cheatham, and
Elishia Wilson combined to score 16 points for CCC in the opening quarter. The Lady Tigers led 24-6 midway through the first half.
Wilson, Anderson,
Tiara Abron, and
Brayland Ferguson each scored for CCC in the second quarter as the Lady Tigers extended their lead. The score was 39-18 at halftime.
Cheatham, Ferguson, Anderson, Wilson,
Ashanti Backus,
Mercedes Hayes, and
Tiara Abron each made at least one field goal for Coahoma in the third quarter. CCC outscored MDCC 23-10 in the quarter, which made the score 62-28 with one quarter remaining.
The Lady Tigers were outscored 12-11 in the fourth quarter, but Coahoma won the game 73-40.
Tiara Abron, Backus, Ferguson, Anderson, Cheatham, and Wilson each scored at least eight points for CCC. Anderson made four 3-pointers, and led all scorers with 14 points.
Coahoma is now 14-5 (8-3 MACCC) this season; the Lady Trojans are 5-14 (1-10 MACCC).
CCC's next game is scheduled to be at Northeast Mississippi on Monday, Feb. 14. That matchup is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
