Coahoma Community College has named Terrence Metcalf its interim head football coach. Metcalf, a native of Clarksdale, MS., is a former standout offensive lineman for the Ole Miss Rebels. He received All-SEC and All-American honors at Ole Miss. He played in the NFL for seven seasons.

Metcalf is a member of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and the Ole Miss Athletic Hall of Fame. He spent the 2022 season as an assistant coach for CCC, and has coached at multiple MACCC schools. His son DK Metcalf is currently a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks.

Metcalf's interim status comes after a recent announcement that Travis Macon and CCC have parted ways. Macon served as Coahoma's head football coach throughout the 2020-2022 seasons.

Yesterday, the school released a statement from CCC President Dr. Valmadge T. Towner about Macon's tenure.

Applications are currently being accepted for the position of head football coach at CCC. To apply, visit bit.ly/3Bzni8t.
