Coahoma topples the Royal Ambassadors 97-48

The Coahoma Community College men's basketball team advanced to 4-1 (0-0) MACCC on Monday night with a victory over the Royal Ambassadors. The matchup featured CCC's first home game of the 2022-23 regular season, and the Tigers put on a show for their fans.

Coahoma had a great start to the game as CCC led 24-4 with 11:50 to play in the opening half. The Tigers led 42-23 at halftime, and went on to win the game 97-48.

CCC's Kei Johnson led all scorers with 25 points. Jaqai Murray and O'zhell Jackson each recorded a double-double. Murray registered 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Jackson accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists, five blocks, and two steals.

Coahoma guard Amarion Hoggan had a productive night with four points, five rebounds, five assists, and six steals.

Ben Galmore, Dontae Prescott, Jo Perez, Raeshun McGregory, Gregg Magee, Kavan Wooten, Korea McKay II, and Jayleon Johnson also scored for CCC. Every Coahoma player recorded at least one point in tonight's matchup.

CCC's next game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 18, inside of the Pinnacle against Birmingham Sports Academy. That matchup is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
