The Lady Tigers host Hinds – Pregame Article

The CCC women's basketball team will play against Hinds Community College inside of the Pinnacle today, Jan. 6, at 6:00 p.m. The matchup marks Coahoma's first home game since Nov. 18, 2021.

The Lady Tigers 7-2 (1-0 MACCC) are 3-0 in home games this season having defeated East Mississippi 65-50, Northeast Mississippi 61-60 in overtime, and Itawamba 72-61.

Coahoma's most recent game was against Tyler Junior College on Dec. 30, 2021. In that matchup, CCC guard Tiara Abron recorded 24 points, which set the team high for most points scored by a Lady Tiger in one game this season.

Nakia Cheatham tallied an 11-point, 14-rebound double-double for Coahoma against TJC. The sophomore's 14 rebounds tied the team's season high, which was also set by Cheatham.

Hinds is 0-7 (0-2 MACCC) this season. Four of HCC's seven losses occurred by 11 or 12 points. The Lady Bulldogs are led in scoring by sophomore guard Patrice Broomfield, who is averaging 12.1 points per game this season.
