The Tigers win 88-77 against Copiah-Lincoln

Box Score On Thursday night, the CCC men's basketball team played at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

With 14:38 to play in the first half; Co-Lin led 14-3. Coahoma responded by going on a 17-7 run that made the score 21-20 with 10:30 remaining in the opening half. The Tigers trailed 45-41 at halftime.

Quan Brown scored 19 points in the first half off 7-of-12 FG shooting, while going 5-of-6 at the free-throw line. Mook Harris tallied eight points for Coahoma in the opening half.

CCC took its second lead of the game when a two-point shot by Joe Perez made the score 62-60 in favor of Coahoma with 10:19 to play in the second half. The Tigers led for the remainder of the game en route to an 88-77 victory.

Brown led all scorers with 37 points. Harris recorded 19 points for CCC, while Kei Johnson and Gregg Magee each scored at least nine points for Coahoma.

The Tigers are now 5-11 (1-6 MACCC) this season; Copiah-Lincoln is 5-11 (2-6 MACCC).

Coahoma's next game is scheduled to be against East Mississippi on Monday, Jan. 31, at the Pinnacle.
