The Tigers fall short against SMCC

Box Score On Monday night, the CCC men's basketball team hosted Southwest Mississippi Community College.

Coahoma's Quan Brown, Ben Galmore, and Mook Harris combined to score 30 points in the opening half. The CCC Tigers trailed 35-34 at halftime.

Harris tallied 16 points in the second half, while Brown recorded 14 points. A three-pointer by Harris with 48 seconds remaining in the game tied the score at 66-66. Despite Coahoma's efforts; SMCC won the game 73-69.

Brown tallied an impressive double-double for the Tigers with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists. Harris was 6-of-10 from 3-point range, and finished the game with 25 points. Galmore also scored in double figures for CCC as the guard from Clarksdale, Mississippi, made three 3's en route to a 13-point performance.

The Tigers are now 4-11 (0-6 MACCC) this season; Southwest Mississippi is 11-6 (4-4 MACCC).

CCC's next game is scheduled to be at Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Thursday, Jan. 27. That matchup is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
