The CCC women's basketball team will play at Itawamba Community College today, Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers hosted ICC earlier this season in a game that Coahoma won 72-61.

In that matchup, four Lady Tigers scored in double figures. Ashanti Backus, Nakia Cheatham, and Tiara Abron each scored 12 points, while Elishia Wilson tallied 11.

Coahoma's current season-highs in 3-pointers made (8), free-throws made (19), and free-throws attempted (30) were each set in that game against Itawamba.

The Lady Tigers are 8-2 (2-0 MACCC) this season; ICC is 7-3 (2-0 MACCC). Each team enters tonight's matchup with a one-game winning streak. The Lady Tigers defeated Hinds 83-47 in CCC's most recent game, while ICC's winning streak features a 79-53 victory against Northeast Mississippi.

Today's matchup is an official conference game, and marks the second meeting of Coahoma and Itawamba this season.
