The CCC men's basketball team 4-6 (0-1 MACCC) will play against Itawamba Community College 7-3 (1-2 MACCC) inside of the Pinnacle today, Jan. 10, at 6:00 p.m. Earlier this season; ICC defeated Coahoma 90-73 at Itawamba.

In that matchup, CCC's Mook Harris, Quan Brown, Ben Galmore, and Kei Johnson each scored at least 10 points. Johnson recorded seven offensive rebounds en route to a 10-rebound, 10-point double-double with four blocks. As a team, the Tigers made a season-high 22 free throws off 26 attempts.

ICC began the season by winning seven of its first eight games. The Indians enter tonight's matchup having lost their past two games by a combined total of 45 points. Itawamba is led in scoring by Fred Cleveland Jr., who is averaging 19.4 PPG to go along with 6.5 APG and 2.7 SPG this season.

Today's matchup against ICC will be Coahoma's first game since playing against Meridian Community College on Dec. 11, 2021. The Tigers began that matchup with a 13-3 run, and MCC's first lead of the game occurred with 4:21 to play in the second half. Despite CCC's efforts; Meridian improved to 9-2 (1-1 MACCC) on the season with a 72-64 victory over the Tigers in overtime.

Tonight's game marks the second meeting of the season between Coahoma and ICC. The matchup will stream live on www.coahomasports.com/watch.
