On Saturday, the CCC men's basketball team will play against Meridian Community College inside of the Pinnacle.
Coahoma 4-5 (0-1 MACCC) enters the matchup having won two of its past three games. The Tigers' previous three matchups feature an 82-80 win at East Central Community College, a home victory over the Royal Ambassadors 111-62, and a loss against ECCC 82-77 at the Pinnacle.
CCC currently ranks second in the MACCC in blocks per game this season, while ranking third in the conference in 3-pointers made per game, offensive rebounds per game, assists per game, etc.
Meridian 8-2 (1-1 MACCC) began the season with a seven-game winning streak. The Eagles have lost two of their past three games with a 75-58 loss against Jones College, a 65-55 win at Mississippi Delta, and a 69-51 loss at East Mississippi.
Christian Terrell is the leading scorer for Meridian. The sophomore guard is averaging 12.8 PPG, 4.0 APG, and 1.6 SPG this season.
