The Coahoma Community College men's basketball team faces Mississippi Delta Community College at the Pinnacle on Monday night.
CCC opened its season with an 84-60 loss against Northwest Mississippi. In that game, Tiger forward
Kei Johnson officially tallied an impressive 21 rebounds to go along with 10 points and three blocks.
Sophomore
Quan Brown led Coahoma in scoring with 17 points off 8-of-16 shooting from the floor.
Jo Perez, a forward from Ruleville, MS., made three of the Tigers' four 3-pointers, and finished with 11 points.
MDCC enters Monday's matchup with a 1-1 record. The Trojans lost to Itawamba Community College 70-45 in Delta's season opener, but MDCC responded with a 72-51 victory against Faith Prep. Monday's matchup marks Mississippi Delta's first away game of the regular season.
Coahoma has won five of the past seven matchups against the Trojans, and defeated MDCC 63-58 in the most recent matchup.
The game is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 p.m.
